FSX Smoke Command

Featured Replies

I have the "I" key set to smoke on/off. The effects are fx_smoke_white, fx_smoke_red, and fx_smoke_blue. When I hit the "I" key the smoke turns on but I have to hold the key depressed for the smoke to continue. If I let it go the smoke quits. Is it required to make the "I" key set to repeat to keep the smoke on when not depressed and when hit again to stop the smoke? I could swear in the distant past that the "I" key did toggle the smoke on/off. I have never made any changes to the key command. Bob.

It should be a toggle. Just a thought, but there may be a peripheral device or a keyboard key sending a spurious signal. Al

Hi Al. You are 100% right. I tried another plane and the "I" key worked as it should. I went back to the plane where it did not work and there was another gauge on the panel that was in conflict with the smoke key. I appreciate the help. Thanks and best regards, Bob.
