October 15, 201114 yr I have been a fan of PF2000/PFE for years and virtually always fly with its implentation (Both FSX and FS9 with speech recognition). However, I am always open to a better mousetrap and some of the posts regarding VOXatc interest me. My fear is that if I make this post on the VOXatc forum that replies might be pointed only to what is favorable. AVSIM replies hopefully might be slightly more objective, so I chose to post here. 1. I do wish that VOXatc could be installed on a secondary computer but my understanding is that VOXatc must be installed on the primary. My understanding is also that Secondary computer installation is pending for a future VAXatc version. I wonder how long it will be before it might be available and if it might be better to wait for that update, particularly if it is not a free upgrade for existing users)?.. 2. Is VOXatc only for FSX or does it work in FS9 as well? The program does look promising, but if it is unique ONLY for FSX, the price leaves something to be desired IMHO. 3. Is speech recognition implemented within the program installation itself, or are additional installations required? If other programs are required, what are they? (I already use the old Game Commander II for PF2000/PFE speech recognition). Thanks:RTH
October 15, 201114 yr The latest version of VOX is for FSX only. I believe it uses the Windows speech recognition software so no other programs are necessary. I saw somewhere that a person had installed VOX on another computer but I don't know how it was done.
