October 16, 201114 yr I have looked in the manuals, and had a scan over here to see if this has been already asked but cannot find anything relating to this annoying problem, so apologies if I am repeating a previous question. On pushback the turn rate of the aircraft is so slow that I cannot pushback from the stand and end up in on the taxi way. Instead it is going over into the parking bays on the opposite side. I did see in the manual to turn nosewheel lock off before pushback (not sure if this is being simulated), however the only switch/button I can find relating to this is on the lower left side with nosewheel being main or alt.I have tried both settings and no difference. Retgardless of whether I use FSX pushback or pushback through the FMC function it will not turn quick enough. In the fmc pushback function I am having to put in 2 metres before starting to turn and even then its behaving as though nosewheel is locked. Am I missing something here or is it a bug/problem ? Everything else is just about fabstastic ! Anyone care to assist ? Thanks Kev.
October 16, 201114 yr I have been having this issue for quite a while, and with other add-on planes too. My personal work around: 1. It is not really a fix but Airport Enhancement Services software has a brilliant code that will push back your plane exactly on the taxiway and with the proper direction depending on your request/stand options. Since AES is in my computer I rarely go to airports not included in my AES list. Worth a try. 2. In those occasions I am not on AES airport I use the PMDG pushback, as "straight distance" I use something minimum (e.g. 5 feet) and I keep an eye on the process to push the STOP button whenever needed.
