Hi, I have a duel boot Win7 64 bit and XP 32 bit both on separate drives and each system has an identical copy of FSX and FS9.I shut down my machine as normal last night and on startup this morning XP will only boot in safe mode and Win7 boots normally but all programs crash, even ms office. The error I get on win7 is appcrash. Now I am pretty techy myself but totally stumped, it can't be a hardrive error as each os has it's own drive.Any ideas? Ironically I created a dual boot so I could have a backup in case one hardrive got messed up, I never expected both systems to go on the same day..Cheers

With both systems crashing on separate drives I'd suspect hardware first. (or a virus)Memory would probably be the easiest thing to start troubleshooting with.If it still happens with each stick individually I think my next step would be to roll back the overclock (if you have one).

No overclock, gpu is a 560ti. Everything was running fine until I restarted this morning. Will try removing the memory one by one, virus scan came up with nothing on xp, can't scan from the win7 boot since it won't allow me to run any software, strangely windows media player is the only thing that works on win7.Any other ideas appreciated.Cheers

I was thinking maybe power supply, but if your losing power to the hard drives that should cause a blue screen or perpetual reboot.
