January 26, 200422 yr Robert,I do almost all of my flying online on the VATSIM network, using voice ATC. I have an Altec Lansing headset with a boom mic attached, and it really helps from both a realism perspective, and also for clarity in understanding ATC. The only thing I'd like is a second sound card, or to use a USB headset, so that I can have the sounds which would be in the cockpit in the real world not also coming through the headphones (engine and rotor noise, wind noise, etc.), and only the ATC channeled to the headphones. Of course, for voice ATC on VATSIM, I could always run Roger Wilco or the new Voice Client on a second PC!Regards,WayneMetro 7 / NMH07Metro Helicopters VAwww.metrohelo.org
