January 25, 200422 yr I mostly fly the PMDG 737ng, but this happens to any jet that I fly. I don't fly props enough to know if it would happen to them. My engines keep shutting off. I do not know why, they just shut off at no specific time and for no rhyme or reason. Both at the same time. Every flight for the past 3 months an hour or two into the flight they shut off. I flew the default Learjet around last night and they also shut off. Any Ideas?
January 25, 200422 yr hmmm....i've never had this happen so i'm not too sure, but the 1st thing i might try is to see if it happens when you switch the option for "unlimited fuel" on. flying with this on is not realistic, but the results may point to the problem. maybe a setting in your FS9.cfg file somehow got changed. i've found my FS9.cfg file changed after i've installed some aircraft using exe files.just for the heck of it, i would also try this with some props. if its still happening keep an eye on your fuel stats to see if anything strange is happening there.if its happening with every plane you fly, then it must be a simulator issue rather than an aircraft issue.hope this helps in some waychris
January 25, 200422 yr I would also check the fuel level before the flight begins. If you saved a flight or situation and are using it as your default start-up situation, you may have saved a situation where there is little fuel in the tanks to begin with.just a thought, hope you get it sorted outDave
January 25, 200422 yr You could try to check that you are not accidentally moving the fuel control switches and shutting down the engines. If you have one of your joystick controls set to adjust mixture on your prop aircraft it will also move the fuel control switches. Make sure that the
January 26, 200422 yr Thanks fellas, I will try your suggestions, I have an X45 throttle mixed with an Microsoft FFB Pro. I'll take the mixture settings off of it. Thanks for your time, its wonderful to find some help.
January 26, 200422 yr Author With the 727NG, if the center fuel tank is empty. the center tank booster switches must be off or the engines will flame out.
