  1. I will explain my situation as best I can, its been a problem for 4 months or so. DFI AD70sc moboAMD Athlon XP 22001GB pc2100 Micron Nvidia 5600 Windows XP Pro SP2 Every once in awhile I get a bsod saying Kmixer is the problem address b7fc8eff base b7fba000 datestamp 41107d32. This happens only when I run games. It happens everytime I run Flight Simulator 2004, every once in awhile with Battlefield 2, and never with FIA GTR. It is very odd. My computer can run for days at a time but when I start FS 2004, load a plane, sit for maybe 30 seconds or so, it crashes. So far I have: Uninstalled/Reinstalled Directx, all my games, various audio codecs, IE. Updated my audio and video drivers, flashed my bios. Ran a burn in test on my hardware, ran virus/spyware software. Deleted all the files in my various temp folders. Replaced the Kmixer.sys file with the one on my CD. Purchased a new sound card.Pulled all my hair out. None of this has worked, I sure hope someone has a few ideas that could help. Do you think that it is a hardware or software issue, cause I have no idea. I have done everything I know of, I would rather not reinstall Windows as I don't even know if this will help, I just wish I had an idea what caused this and how to fix it. Any help is appreciated.
  2. I posted a week ago or so ago about how my computer was crashing whenever I run the PMDG series aircraft, doesn't matter which one. This is the only airplane that causes my computer to basicly freeze. I have tried uninstalling/installing PMDG 737, and FS2004 a zillion times now. I have tried just running PMDG alone, with FS2crew, with active sky and without, in all different variations. I have ran end it all and not. I have no virus' or adware. This is the only thing that has ever killed my computer. I have installed new sound card drivers, and video drivers with the newest versions and not the newest versions. I just don't know what to do, my next step is to reistall windows but I really would rather not. My system specs are AMD 2400 no overclock, 768mb pc2100 mem, nvidia 128mb 5600 video card. I have owned PMDG 737 since it came out and have never had any problems with it. This problem has only occured since I reinstalled Flight Simulator so I could have a fresh install and Version 9.1 a month ago, wow what a mistake. I have tried reinstalling flight sim and keeping it at version 9.0 but that doesn't help either. I am running SP2 for XP but didn't have this problem with it until I reinstalled FS2004. I did however have to buy a new copy of Flight sim as it had been so long since I needed the disks that I lost them in a move. I have tried the no cd crack and tried it without it. What happens is I can go through the setup of the PMDG just fine, it can sit on the ground for hours on end and nothing happens but when I start moving my system locks up, I have only gotten the blue screen of death one time with this message.BCCode : 50 BCP1 : B937A746 BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : EC69A8DC BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1Whatever that means. It is a very random lock up, I can still hear sounds but it is stuck at the last sound before it locks up. I don't know what else it could be any ideas would be great.
  3. no error messages, the program doesn't crash the computer does. Which made me think it was a hardware/OS conflict or something. I ran a Burn in test, updated my video and sound card drivers, but nothing seems to work. I don't have a clue, it only happens with the PMDG plane though and FS9.1. what happens is when I'm cruising the screen locks up, but I the sound seems to be in a loop or something, a really annoying less then a second loop. I can not open task manager or anything. I have to hit reset. I play a lot of different games and run a variety of apps but nothing else does this, not even using other planes in FS, it is so odd. I've tried deleting the different cfg files. I'm really confused. Thanks for the help.Brian
  4. Thanks for the help, I have tried everything on the faq page. It is so odd. I might have to wait until PMDG released the 747 or PIC 767 comes out, cause I can't fly anything less, its just not fun. I will miss FS2crew though, that thing is awesome too. Any other ideas would be great. This only happens with PMDG 737 and nothing else. No other game or sim. ThanksBrian Garner
  5. It is pretty simple really, my computer locks up about an hour into any flight with only the pmdg 737, any model. I can fly for hours in anything else with no problems, but why would I want to? Every time I'll be at cruising alt or almost there and wham, lock up. I've tried everything I know of, Burn in test for hardware, drivers, uninstall PMDG, reinstall, uninstall again, reinstall again. Its odd and I'm sure no one will no whats wrong as there are no real obvious signs of why it is failing, any ideas would be helpful. My computer never locks up, it just started this after I reinstalled FS9.1 and put the new patch on it. It doesn't lock up with any other application either, no matter how long I run them. Weird.
  6. Let's remember to click on all of the advertisments on avsim everyonce in awhile. I'm sure they would appreciate it. I appreciate all avsim does, and does for FREE. How awesome is that. Thanks.
  7. Nevermind, I found the problem, how odd and obvious all at the same time...http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;836185
  8. The link below shows my situation better then I can explain it to you all. For some reason I can no longer adjust any settings within FS9. It started a month ago or so, I'm not sure what brought it on, however, I have uninstalled/deleted anything that deals with fs9 and reinstalled, changed folder names etc. Everytime I reinstall it I looks just like below. I can not move the sliders, adjust resolution etc.http://www.thegfl.net/Images/Damnitalltohell.jpg Any help would be appreciated.
  9. to say thanks to PMDG for the awesome products that we already have. I know I paid for the products and should expect some level of competency from PMDG, but what I have was above the norm. I really am looking forward to both the 747 and the MD11. I am very excited really. Thanks again and am waiting impatiently.
  10. Thanks fellas, I will try your suggestions, I have an X45 throttle mixed with an Microsoft FFB Pro. I'll take the mixture settings off of it. Thanks for your time, its wonderful to find some help.
  11. I mostly fly the PMDG 737ng, but this happens to any jet that I fly. I don't fly props enough to know if it would happen to them. My engines keep shutting off. I do not know why, they just shut off at no specific time and for no rhyme or reason. Both at the same time. Every flight for the past 3 months an hour or two into the flight they shut off. I flew the default Learjet around last night and they also shut off. Any Ideas?
