November 5, 201114 yr Author I suggest you try to recalibrate your joystick. I have just tried your SLSU take off, -600, 1/3 fuel, 0 payload, Trim 3.57 I rotated normally at Vr (122)though I had to use the full range of motion of my joystick. Alternately, you could just use flaps 10 - same Vr, less drag, better CoG.Even if my yoke (CH USB) is quite a bit aged it seems to work as it should (I just checked it again). What I'm wondering about is your Vr as mine had been calculated with 100 kn only! Fuel and payload have been the same.EDIT: Well the yoke might be the cause. I just checked the calibration again and found out that there are obviously problems on a random base. It might have to do with the little calibration wheel. I made a take-off without any problems when using the keyboard. However, the question below remains.Ok, I just made a strange experience. I filed a flight from La Paz (SLLP, 13310 ft) to Ilo (SPLO, 68 ft). At the first picture you might see the high altitude calculation, the second one shows the Ilo, next to the coast. I'm wondering about the speeds as I would expect to have higher V-speeds at higher altitudes. Loading and aircraft had been exactly the same (1/3rd of fuel and 0 payload). Not surprisingly I got the same trim setting @ 15° flaps. (same bird, the -600).Any explanation???? Regards,Axel
November 5, 201114 yr Author Might be a help for sharpening our high alt. take off knowledge :http://www.smartcock...B737/misc/0002/ Yepp, I can remember this report (I think Boeing published it on their own web site). However, the customer bought A319s as far as I know. Regards,Axel
November 6, 201114 yr Author Ok, final report: This morning (CET) I dismounted my CH USB yoke and performed "a bit of serve". Despite the fact that it looked surprisingly well inside, I used some special oil in order to clean the build-in potentiometers and to minimise contact noise and calibrated it finally again. My first impression is that my problems where caused by faulty hardware (better to say crackling potentiometers). My checks of the calibration obviously didn't show the whole truth but just for a certain moment... Regards,Axel
