Ah stutters- so I've recently upgraded my system to a asus mobo, with a an AMD phenom quad core (3 gig each) and 4 gigs of ddr3 ram- I still get stutters with this system and frame rates no higher than 40 consistently- now what I think the problem might be:- an ATI Radeon 3650 pcie card with one gig on board ram- is this what is slowing down and creating stutters in FS9?Thanks

I gave up on Radeon several years ago. I doubt that I will ever use anything but Nvidia again. I had multiple problems with every Radeon I had.

Hi.I'm not sure that the 3650 is to blame. I had a 3650 AGP with 512 meg and never suffered with that. It was great with FS9 but horrible with Flight Unlimited 3 so I dumped it for an Nvidia. No stutters with that one either until recently... Then again I have a very slow motherboard.I get a rhythmic stutter when flying at increased simrates if I'm using FSMetar. My PC's standalone but I think the constant communication between FSMetar and FS9, checking for the next (geographical) metar causes the hiccup. However, it doesn't get any more pronounced when I include Radar Contact and Air Hauler to the mix so it's difficult to be sure. I haven't experimented yet because it's not so bad that I feel compelled to do anything about it.I suppose you use FSUIPC so you could try the same flight with the FSUIPC module disabled and no external apps running, to make sure your stutter really is hardware related.Cheers,D
