January 29, 200422 yr Hi all.1st post here.have had fs2002 since it came out.i have been running a windows xp machine with amd 1800+, 512mb pc2100ram, 2 8.9ms seagate hardrives optimized, nvidia geoforce2 64mbMy question is this:I love to fly from the spot view, lookin forward from the tail.is it a hardware issue that when you manuever a lot the computer is never keeps the view the way it was before starting manuevering.so people, if you have a faster computer video card etc....will the spot view stay in the proper perspective when maneuvering the aircraft?thanks in advance for any answers to this question.
January 29, 200422 yr It doesn't require a faster computer - in FS just go into 'view options' and unckeck the 'gradual transitions' box.Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg
January 29, 200422 yr You might want to change vid cards and get a GeForce 4 with 128 mg's.... another stick of ram wouldn't be bad either. Your main bottle neck is the vid card thoJoe W.
January 29, 200422 yr thanks very much for your relpy:will try unchecking the transitions button.I am sure you know what your doing.have a good one.
January 29, 200422 yr Also,I believe, when you've unchecked the grad.transitions (as gosta said)save the flight as your default, then you won't have to do it every time you start. Only got fs9 today, so hope it works same as fs2002.Russell.
January 29, 200422 yr ok guysi believe you, gradual transitions in view optionsbut wear in heaven is the view options dialogue???I right clicked on the screen when flying, it gives me a few options (chase view is not one of them), no other optionsso where is this view options?it says its there in the help i have looked the setting windows over and over????i thought i new this fs2002 pretty good.lost track of my manual that came with the software.thanks in advance.flywire
January 29, 200422 yr Flywire, in your first post you said spot view. Start your flight, switch to spot view, click options, view options then uncheck gradual transitions. Thats it. Just fired up fs9 and it has'nt saved it as I advised in my last post. So, I'll try it again.Russell.
January 29, 200422 yr ok i followed instructions to the letter.there's nothing there.i went to a flight went to spot view.right clicked on the screen these are my options:------------------------:cockpit view:virtual cockpit viewarrow checked: spot view:tower view:topdown viewunavalible: chase view-------------------------arrow checked: maximize window:undock window:close window-----------------------arrow checked and unavalible for change:Hide Menu Bar-------------------------------------------So, does this help?otherwise I'm stumped.I looked for keyboard shortcuts and assignments in help to no avail.thanks in advance.FLYWIRE
