November 5, 201114 yr I've submitted a ticket for this problem, as I didn't for the first CTD to see if it was an isolated incident. I was flying a relatively short route online with VATSIM using SB4 from YMML to YWLM, which is about 1hr10min or so. At FL390 with a 13kt crosswind coming at me from a north-westerly direction while I flew on a northerly heading the aircraft started behaving like it was being hit by 200kt crosswinds, banking left 30 degrees and then right 30 degrees. It even missed the TOD and then I had the CTD. Anyone else had this? I was using real-world weather downloaded from Jepessen. Matthew Bellette
November 5, 201114 yr Commercial Member Matthew-Have you disabled "turbulence" as instructed during installation?FSX turbulence is completely and totally bogus... It exceeds the extremes that would take the wings off a modern airliner even when turbulence is "light." This happens because FS does not accurately simulate fluid flow patterns over wings.... but it is the world we live in.You haven't provided any other information that would help us to identify the source of your CTDs, but nothing you provided would cause me to suspect the NGX more than scenery or other addons... Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com

I get a C++ runtime error just prior to the CTD. I'll have to try to take a screenshot of the error message. Unfortunately I completely forget in my frustration each time! I must be getting old. I will check on the turbulence thing and report back. Just to check, are you referring to disabling turbulence in FSX itself or FSUIPC? I own a registered version of FSUIPC. Matthew Bellette
