January 30, 200422 yr Hi Everyone:)I was flying Flight Sim using my USB Yoke Joy Stick and when I touched one of the buttons on the Joystick I received an electric shock due to the static electricity which is not uncommon due to the cold winter. My yoke became useless and the joystick kept panning the cockpit without touching any of the yoke buttons.I then shutdown from the flightsim and rebooted up and got the same results.Tried calibrating the joystick and notice that on the calibration page three of the buttons appear to be activated and the hat switch will not move when imputing a command.Appears that the Static Electricity has caused a malfunction with the Joy Stick.Any assistance would be appreciated.Kenny G.
January 30, 200422 yr Had that happen to me a little over a year ago. I called CH tech support and the fella went through a couple of fix-it ideas which didn't work. He determined that a short (duh!) screwed up one of the button components. He had me send the unit back and they replaced all the internal goodies for free (including the yoke shaft!). About a two week turn-around. BTW, it was still under warranty at the time.

I am not as fortunate as you were, my warranty expired about 2 years ago.Take Care:)Kenny G.
January 30, 200422 yr > my warranty expired about 2 years ago.Are you sure? I think you will find that you have 3-year warranty and I don't think these yoke have been out that long. R-
February 1, 200422 yr Author I bought my CH Products USB 3 lever yoke in September 2000 and they had been out for a little while by then, so yes I think they have been out that long.Todd
