November 12, 201114 yr Does anybody else notice that since the 6/700 release, that while the oil and hydraulic quantity does decrease over time during flight, the quantity always resets to 100% when doing a new flight, whereas before it would save the quantities that existed on the last exit of flightsim? I dunno but i kind of miss that little feature. Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.
November 12, 201114 yr The hydraulic qty shows a drop during flight. That's especially true of the A side. That fluid isn't being lost, it's just in the system and away from the qty transducer. When you fly again, the fluid is back in the right place for a preflight inspection. Matt Cee
November 12, 201114 yr I suppose this depends on the airline and length of flight but usually the oil levels will be checked by the engineers on each arrival, so in theory the levels should be full of each departure just like the real world. I remember the 747's with JT9d's I had to service had to be checked within 30 mins of shutdown, so only serving the levels on a 250 hr check was not realistic. Glen
November 12, 201114 yr Author i guess you have a point there, thank you Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.
