Help mapping throttles in FSX

Featured Replies

hi guysI know this isn't exactly the place however I don't really frequent any other subforums on Avsim. My issue is - I have the ch throttle quadrant but have issues when trying to map all 4 engines for the PMDG 747X to individual throttles...seems some of them don't calibrate very well in FSX ie. works a treat when mapping with the ch pro software but not in FSX.anyway, is there a way to map say all left engines to one throttle and all right engines to another throttle (so I can use 2 throttles only but control all 4)?Thanks

I use the TQ-6 from GoFlight, and it is a VERY excellent piece of hardware, however, I have noticed that the throttles tend not to work well when mapping each to a specific engine. Although you may not want to hear it, you may save yourself some time by mapping all the engines to a single axis and using all four for the feeling. However, if you are determined to continue with the separate throttles, you can use FSUIPC (registered) to align the axis's to each other via the calibration page for that device. It's still a little jumpy when moving them, but it is closer. Good luck, ask away if you have any more questions.

Very excellent? That's weird. Excellent already means very good. But if mapping doesn't work well, I wouldn't even call the product excellent.Unless there's a problem with FSX?And as far as mapping all four axes to a single channel, this sounds to me like a "VERY excellent" joke.Bruno

Disregard. Never mind.Edit: Not sure what issues you're having as you're being vague. Are you a registered FSUIPC user?

I'm not sure what all you're talking about.
