February 1, 200422 yr Anybody have one or know where I can get one?Thanks-http://members.rogers.com/gmoffatt/images/ERJ_CRT.jpg
February 1, 200422 yr Why not just do your own? The x-45 configures in FS9 pretty well and I think that you can write your own using either FSUIPC ( if you have the registered version) or the Saitek Gaming Extension software can be used.Having said that, a caveat: I have had poor luck using the SGE software with WinXP Pro, possibly because I use a Microsoft mouse and keyboard. The SGE software installs some sort of "virtural mouse and keyboard" which makes my system do strange things so I have avoided it.I do have my X-45 configured in FS9 and it works just fine for me.Best Regards,
February 1, 200422 yr I'm just looking for a place to start -- pretty new to the X45 and programming the thing from scratch is a bit overwhelming.http://members.rogers.com/gmoffatt/images/ERJ_CRT.jpg
February 1, 200422 yr My X-45 setup varies from others, but here is what I like.Trim -- I use the top left hat switch for pitch trim. Could also be set to rudder or aileron trim. Others use the rotory dials, but my way is just like elec. trim on a joystick or yokeHat switch to pan views ---- lower center hat switchBrakes --- trigger controlCycling views (s-key) ---- "A" buttonFlaps down ----- "B" buttonFlaps up ----- red fire buttonGear up/down --- large D button on the throttleI also use the two smaller buttons on the throttle for the ATC screen & prop/mixture controlsThese settings are applied through the FS2004 control assignment menu. No added software.L.Adamson
February 1, 200422 yr I am a relative newcomer to the X-45, but have come to really appreciate it's flexability. Liking GA, regional turbos and commercial jets .. I find that it adapts very well. Here is what I have set up: (no profile, just through the MSFS config)Stick:A - elevator trim upB - elevator trim downtop trigger - brakebutton on front of stick - gear up/downred light under flip cover .. AP ON/OFFleft hat -- cycle up and down through views (wastes 6 positione, I only use the top and bottom position to cycle up and top position to cycle downcenter hat .. panbottom trigger .. defaults to knee board.Throttle:D button .. flaps down 1 incrementsmall red button on underside ... flaps up one incrementorange 8-way switch on bottom, I use the top position and bottom position for piston engine fuel leaning and or turboprop condition lever. (works very well)8-way switch on front next to rudder control ... used for prop RPM/prop pitch on GA and Turbos. Again only two positions .. top to decrease, bottom to increase. The top rotary by default seems to control the rudder trimThe bottom rotary defies use, as far as I can see. I have downloaded the profile editor software, but would rather fly than take the time to figure it out. Very ARCANE if you ask me. The two mode switches??? AUX and Mode 1,2,3 ... I guess if you are flying an F-XX with a load of ordnance and want to act on each type for launching etc ... this would come in handy .. but I can't see how to use them or how to deal with them in FS ... Good luck!!!
February 1, 200422 yr "The bottom rotary defies use, as far as I can see." For some reason the bottom rotary gets set at very low sensitivity. assign you bottom rotary to say elevator trim, go to sensitiviy and give it some travel and it will do fine.RegardsDennis Waggoner
