Resuming a saved flight

Featured Replies

Hey guys,Bought the 737 NGX last week and truly loving it.... best FSX aircraft add-on ever made for sure !As much as I like to fly it, I don't always have a lot of time to do so, so I'm very satisfied to see that PMDG made extra efforts to be able to save a flight and its entire panel state (including FMC settings) to be able to resume a flight later on.However, I have a few questions in that regard:1) When I load a saved flight, the aircraft goes through the 15sec initialization process. This is normal I think, but a little annoying when being in mid air. It means that the whole panel is cold & dark (which is my "default panel state"), no engines running, etc... so for 15sec, I basically have a giant glider. I thought that maybe pausing the sim would allow to overcome this, but it looks like it's pausing the initialization process too. Is there any way to overcome this little annoyance ?2) Is every single setting of the aircraft (switches, FMC settings, etc) saved when saving (I save through the default FSX file/save menu) and then restored when reloading the flight ? Or are there certain small but important details one should be aware of to double check when reloading a flight ?Thanks a ton for any replies.Regards,Mathieu

1. Hopefully this will be changed in SP2 so it would be reloading even if you pause FSX. (Like 747 and MD11) Also there are some things you´ll have to observe and that´s the IRS and Flightdir so they are engaged and also press one time on Vnav, Lnav, and A/P just to be save. Other than that I´ve never had a probs continue my flight ......2. No you only have to do as you did. Save the Flight in FSX and pick up the flight again when you wanna resume your flight./ Leffe
