November 14, 201114 yr HiHere follows my experience with VNAV "taking over" glideslope control down to minimums. 737-600 PMDG. ENVA RWY09, final turn, LOC ON making localizer to keep heading 088. VNAV taking care of descent to RWY09. Manually adjusting flaps to dropping speed. It worked very well. VNAV seemed to do a good job. At minimums A/T off, A/P off , then followed standard visual landing. Two critical questions ....how realistic scenario is this? And is there advantage using VNAV at approach? gura75 Geir Hansen
