November 18, 201114 yr Hello i load the NGX and when loading the engines are on but then the engines fail and the engines drop to 0 but they start ok. What is wrong.
November 18, 201114 yr My guess is there's a conflict with the FSX default flight you have so the NGX loads with engines running but an FSX state from the default flight then causes the engines to run down. For complex addons like the NGX to work properly the FSX default flight should load one of the FSX default aircraft with engines off, mixture lever 100% (if applicable) and battery/avionics switches OFF. I use the Cessna 172.Kevin Hall
November 18, 201114 yr Author Kevin,It specifically states in the PMDG manual that this is NOT required.Exactly what i thought but i will give that a shot.
November 18, 201114 yr Kevin,It specifically states in the PMDG manual that this is NOT required.I know, but FSX requires a default flight to be set up, you can't not have one, and it is conceivable that this could affect the NGX, especially if you choose another complex addon as your default.Kevin Hall
November 18, 201114 yr Commercial Member You should have the Ultralight at Friday Harbor as your default flight - not a Cessna or anything like that. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
November 18, 201114 yr You should have the Ultralight at Friday Harbor as your default flight - not a Cessna or anything like that. With all due respect, it doesn't have to be at Friday Harbor, it can be any airport. If you use Friday Harbor but live in another time zone it upsets FSX's clock so UTC/GMT and local time don't match up. The default Cessna has always worked fine for me with compex addons, and does so on the NGX too. My understanding is that as long as the piston engine settings are correctly initialised in FSX all will be well, so the default Cessna should work just as well as the trike.Kevin Hall
