February 2, 200422 yr Is there a setting in the aircraft.cfg file to increase the turn radius when taxiing? I find some aircraft are frustrating when on the ground. No big deal, but would be nice... :-)thx,billg
February 2, 200422 yr Bill,I'm not sure I understand your question. Increasing the turning radius will make the plane harder to turn in short corners. Or are you simply trying to make the plane more controllable on the ground. Under the (contact points) section in the aircraft.cfg file, point.0 is the nose wheel. The 8th number over, if lowered (I think) will decrease turning radius so I assume increasing would be the opposite. Don't know if that will make the aircraft more controllable or not, if that's what you're looking for.
February 3, 200422 yr I think that might do it, thx. I'm looking for a tighter turning radius when taxiining, I'll check it out. Too cool, thank you.
February 3, 200422 yr If you want to turn sharper, use differential braking (F11 & F12), or differential thrust if in a multi entine aircraft. I know alot of guys that fly multi's and taxi with only differential thrust to save the brakes. That can be a bit tough in FS if you don't have a multi throttle quadrant though.
