Matching video card

Featured Replies

I haven't used FSx for about 18 months now. Up until then I had a Duo Core 6600 CPU with 2 Gig Ram and and old ATI x800 AGP vid card. I used that happily for quite some time. Now I have an Intel I3-540 , 4 gig Ram - but at this time no Vid card. Whilst not the fastest CPU around now, it is still much faster than my old 6600 and will give me satisfactory performance with a suitable vid card. . Could anybody advise what vid card would be suitable to match this CPU.Thanks Barry

That I3 is a great little badass for just $100. Overclocks like mad on cheap H55 boards, even on the stock cooler. and is a great performer when you don't need many cores. I have a crush on her, heheShame Intel has restricted OC on the new I3's.Anyway, a GTX460 1GB would be a perfect fit for that system

A GTX560 is sufficient even with the fastest CPUs, though the GTX460 is the best value and I don't know if you will notice a difference between the two.

Completely agree, the GTX460 1GB and the GTX560 are essentially the same card smile.png
