November 21, 201114 yr HelloLooks fine apart from the cooler will possibly struggle @ 4.9ghz, that is a monster sized case and will accommodate a much better cooler than the A70I have an A50 which is OK up to 4.6ghz after that with the central heating on here in the UK it gets a bit warm. The Motherboard is fine, I have one myself but doing it again I would go for a Z series board with PCI 3 compatibility.

Dark Rock Advanced CPU CoolerI want to avoid liquid cooling in general. The Case is a whopper and I can also upgrade the Cooling in that for the Scythe Kaze Jyuni Fan Upgrade PackThe only other MB they offer is a Asus P8Z68-V Pro Motherboard and I chose over that with the Sabretooth. Is there any particular PCI-3 board you have been looking at that I could suggest to the supplier?Thanking you in advance from across the water in Ireland (ex-pat) and yes I HATE ryanair!
November 21, 201114 yr 8GB of RAM is enough if this is an FSX machine. And don't you have other GPU options? The GTX590 sucks. It's not a 3GB card, that's false advertising. It's a dual GPU in SLI with 2x1.5GB, so effectively 1.5GBI would get two GTX 570 2.5GB for that resolution. Even two GTX560Ti 2GB would be a better option in every way than a GTX590

Or a single 6970 using eyefinity
November 21, 201114 yr Author Have emailed the supplier to see what else they have on offer in the GFX department. I'm going to stick with the 16GB of ram because I wont just use the machine for FSX. i'm sure it will come in handy for some video work also. What do you think on the price dazz for whats on offer?

November 21, 201114 yr Truth is it doesn't look bad considering it includes 3 monitors (220 pounds each at OcUK) and the saitek gear. You could try building a similar system in OcUK or Scan and see how they stack up price wise. You would have more flexibility to pick you GPU(s), case, cooling... and then get the saitek pro flight kit somewhere else.To maximize your performance/pound you should get:2500K overclockedAn SLI ready Gen 3 boardTwo GTX570 2.5 GB or two GTX560 2GB or one AMD HD6970A Corsair TX850 PSUAlso pick the Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste
November 22, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the info and thoughts guys. will post up a picture of this monster when it arrives.
