November 22, 201114 yr Hello, I have a few requests regarding planes and other things - Firstly, would anyone happen to know where to get detailed "operators instructions" for PMDG 737-8/900, Wilco 777 and "something" 757....who makes it completely escapes me, I am not at my own PC. Basically, I dont know how to fly these :SAlso, I have a query regarding airspeed - I was flying a 777 and in ascending about v/s 1800, the speed was dropping off at alarming rates, to the point I had to level off and try and build up speed, although I was still nearly 10 degrees relative. Even in level flight I was only achieving about 230 kias, which means that the King Air P90 I flew after was faster...How can the 777 be overspeed at 250 kias?Another query - what would people recommend for a pilot "career" in game. I am away of a few makers, whats the best? And finally, anyone got a detailed guide to ils landings? I seem to always mess them up!Thanks guys!
November 22, 201114 yr Author Anything else? It would take days to correctly reply to all your questions. You Tube and Google are your friend!Haha, I was afraid of that!Basically, I just need to learn to fly these planes before anything else. Ill stretch the others over time! I presume google will be able to provide me with flight manuals? I had trouble with Wilco 737 (which I replaced with PMDG) and couldnt find a manual for it anwhere!
November 22, 201114 yr Ill try and help u out a bit, but first off excuse all my spelling mistakes, im replying from an Iphone.as for ils as said before google it and there will be an abundance of informarikn, and j also think that msfs has help on that in the help center. As for the not being able to climb, maybe you were too heavy fully loaded with fuel and payload, which in this case you would have to step climb up to fruise which is definetly not unheard of, example, climb to 28000ft, level off to burn fuel to get lighter then go up another few thkusand feet, level off burn some more fuel then climb some more etc. etc.As for kias, what was your speed over the ground, the higher you go the slower your IAS will be, but yuur speed over the grlund should increase. When you grasp the idea of kias and GS, look up the expressiln "coffin corner" related to airplanes, its an interesting thing when you understand it. November 22, 201114 yr Commercial Member Yeah, sounds like you need to study up on aircraft gross weight, climb performance and the difference between IAS, TAS and groundspeed. You should also be climbing in FLCH or VNAV not vertical speed. Also if you paid for those aircraft then the manuals are on your computer. Rob Prest
