November 26, 201114 yr Suddenly I have some unwanted texture getting into my landclass ground.Could any 'scenery guru's' give me help on where they come from and how to get rid of them. please? How could I find what texture it is?Thanks in advance
November 26, 201114 yr You should take a look at any new scenery packages that you have added.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
November 28, 201114 yr Author Thanks Luis for your help.Do you know of a program that will tell me the name and layer that texture is placed on?Thanks again.
November 28, 201114 yr You probably do not have hundreds of scenery packages for that area, so perhaps you could simply try removing those few that cover the region first and see if that helps.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
December 1, 201114 yr I've never seen anything like that, but if you are using UTX, try deactivating it and see if it changes. Art
December 3, 201114 yr Author First, thank you all for your replies and hints.I tried them all without success, however I installed the fsx sdk which lead to more confusion. lolAfter pulling my hair out I got to view the landclass bgl file with the TM.. Viewerand clicked on these textures.this gave me this info:The 2 items are:Park / Texture / Texture { 91242E92-CE00-47CB-81B6-EA8B70259C7A }Park / Texture / Texture { E82F237E-F774-4213-8A79-609F44220B4D }I gather the last jibberish is this guid number.Does this give you guru's any help to tell me where this file is kept so I might go to it and edit it somehow?I've searched, the only thing I am sure of is that it must be there somewhere. rotflol. In fact, in the scenery lib I deactivated everything else except the bottom 2 which fsx wouldn't allow and it still showed up.Thanks again.
