I pasted your config in without checking anything, booted fsw but this time I crossed my fingers and there she was. I was so happy I did the same thing for the goose and there she was too. I'm on a role. 2 for 2. Happy camper! Thanks for being there and persevering with this old simmer. I am getting too old for this. lol See you in the skies, bye for now...........

@paulkemp Thanks for all the more info you have supplied. Sorry to not return earlier with good news but I am still banging my poor head against a concrete wall on this. And it hurts!!! I am almost really to give up the idea. I can't fly any of them because none show up on the selection menu? I still can't believe it. It's like fsw is not importing anything that not dtg aircraft period. I haven't touched of the settings myself. I must be missing something? I have tried Carenado 337, fsx dch2 twice from scratch, and the ants drifter with nothing? I have: Copied the aircraft folder into fsw airplane folder with the other fsw's. Made sure the gauges are in the fsw gauge folder. Edited the lines in the aircraft.cfg re liveries and added the text end group So that's it, I'm at a standstill, hoping you might see something I missed, later.........and thanks again

After reading it seems DTG are trying in a new update to make mods more difficult for us. Sad news. @ jcjimmy Looks like I am not alone, but still trying. @ paulkemp I used everything you pointed out and checked it again but still no show just 7 DTG aircraft. I'm still trying to get a float plane in just to fly backwoods Alaska and do water landings. I'll be back.............

Hello Simmers I am an old (too old now) Fsx user who recently bought FSW thru the current steam sale out of curiosity. Hoping I could add to the aircraft list a bit with my Fsx addons I read in several places that these could be transferred with various success. I have tried so far: Carenado 337, the default Beaver FSX without success! They don't even show on the FSW aircraft list at all? I have placed the gauges, effects, etc. and added the additional lines in the aircraft cfg for each livery and the lines placed at the end in the tutorial. I have installed some photo scenery successfully except for 'earth simulations'. But I really wanted to get an amphibian to use? Has anyone got any helpful ideas in this area, Please? Thanks in advance...........

Hi again guys Another thanks for your concerns. I don't have the Dx10 fixer installed just a plain FSXse with some Orbx and additional aircraft installed. A mystery why it doesn't rebiuld the fsx.cfg after deleting it?

Hello again and thanks for your suggestions. I've done the delete cfg trick many times in old fsx days but forgot it this time. So I tried it in my fsxse after setting dx10 in the program settings to off. The sim started to make a new cfg on reboot but couldn't and quit. So I copied back my previous cfg and away she went with d3d10=1 in the cfg. I guess I'm just stuck with 10?

Hi Simmers Maybe you could help me out with some hints, PLEASE! I have FSX and FSX-SE installed on different computers. The computer with SE is using win8.1 and of course dx11. I also would like SE to go back to dx9 so all aircraft would display properly, etc. So I turn off dx10 preview mode but this requires a FSXse restart. Alas, It won't boot up at all with DX10=0 in the config file. Help, please, any ideas would be appreciated? Thank you in advance......

@Lorby_SI Thank you very much for the excellent tutorial on scenery. I gave it a try last night and it worked, sort of.....lol One area I am having trouble is the Shetland Islands using Earth Simulations great scenery pack. I think the install is ok --scenery.cfg-, etc. Scenery is great but when approaching airport -Sumburgh-dir-501 Fsx crashes and hangs. Remove bgl file, airport gone-only photo scenery left, but on approach still hangs? Any more ideas would be appreciated. btw, what do the cvx files do? Thanks again I'll be back...

Hello and Thanks, Guys! No, I haven't looked at these yet but will now. Main reason for sticking with Fsx is the previous purchases of Orbx packs and as I said several France photo sceneries as well as some of my favourite aircraft.

Hi, simmers! Such an unusual request? Here's why. I really like to fly using photo scenery because I am a senior/age pilot and can't afford to fly for real. So I have quite a few countries and states and this is my holiday using FSX. No checked baggage problems. lol I don't take off or land, just explore. Every so often an airport runway-fsx style shows up and spoils the realism. I would rather see the airport from the photo. So, my tweaking friends, is there a dir or file that I can rename or remove sometimes to stop all airports from showing up. I've searched and can't find it but there must be some way. Like in scenery..cfg just turn off a dir would be great, then turn it back on later. Any ideas Please? Thank you all in advance....

To all of you, thanks heaps for the hints. After no reply from MSE I am presently dl the Italy freeware. Looked at one area with viewer and am impressed. How low can I fly with crisp images? I don't have any MSE outside the US but from the comments I've seen everywhere don't think I missed much. I'm mostly a mountain flyer anyways. Thanks again......

Hi Simmers A few days ago I got an email from MSE promoting that Italy is available for purchase. I am interested in getting it. Then yesterday I got another email from them regarding specials and new products. Italy was shown at a price of 16.99 maybe an intro special? Hi simmers, I have been trying to follow the startup in the manual and one of the points mention 'Set elevators to the Take-off Position'. Does this control lock the yoke for take-off or is the yoke just manually moved to control the elevators as we would normally do. Is there a key or lever for this? Thanks for any help on this, please!

Lets say I have 2 general aviation aircraft but 1 has a flight model that I find difficult to enjoy flying. Where is the fm info kept. Seems to me there use to be a way of copying the flight model of an aircraft into another. But this is going back a long ways maybe FS2002 or 2004 not sure, can't remember? Any help would be appreciated....... Thanks in advance.
