Contents of 2 log files below. The first shows everything is OK but the 2nd one shows the simconnect errors. I have no weather in fsx. I have double checked everything.the xml, ini, cfg file and the ip addresses, everything, but still no weather. I feel like screaming... shi#...Any help would be much appreciated. Hi,The first log indicates things are fine except for FSX connecting! And the second long confirms its constantly looking for FSX with nothing found. Nothing conflicting here.It sounds like a simconnect.cfg/.xml configuration problem and/or failure to unblock the port. Until you can get the simconnect configuration proper, with the AI traffic test working OK, there is no way networked simconnect add-ons will operate.You could share your cfg/xml setup here and get some help from the community or you could contact us (support.hifitechinc.com) for direct support from HiFi. If you are sure the configuration is proper it might be as simple as unblocking the port with windows firewall.

Hi Damian,Let me check the port. I use Norton and it is pretty heavy but I did find a port option which I opened and also allowed for ASE as a program to allow through also. It is ASE that I need to allow through the wall and not simconnect yes? I don't think you can target simconnect as a program. Just thinking out loud.Bob

Hi Bob,The port should be unblocked here, not an app (i.e. port 500) for TCP.You may want to disable firewall temporarily to see if things operate ok.. when renabling, I believe Norton will "warn" about the connection and allow you to unblock it. Or you can just manually specify the port to allow.

Damian,I have disabled firewall, checked all ini, cfg and xml files and all is correct. Short of checking the RG, I don't know what to do. Is it possible that the simconnect.dll is the wrong version, or something not configured properly when SDK was installed even though it passes the test through ASE?Bob

Not sure,But with specifics of your configuration we can try and help. Most problems are in the .cfg/.xml configuration.

Damian, guess what? LOL, the issue was the server port access through firewall. I had set (not paying attention) the outgoing port 500 access only. Not the incoming.All is well. Geez, that is the last time I try anything when I am tired. Comes with age!!Thanks for you help and concern.RegardsBob
