Aircraft nose down at Cruise - How can this be fixed?

Featured Replies

During cruise, I noticed the aircraft is in a slight nose down attitude. I can't remember which aircraft.cfg entry I must tweak to fix this? Anyone remember? Thanks RJ

RJ,Under flight tuning, try lowering the cruise_lift_scalar to 0.9 or 0.8 or lower.John

Thanks very much John..... That did the trick...Again, thanksRJ

Hi RJ.What do you mean by "nose-down"?In real aircraft the pitch attitude (nose-down or nose-up) will vary based on airspeed and altitude. Depending on the specific aircraft it is entirely possible that the airplane's flight attitude might appear to be in more of a nose-low or nose-high position, considering airspeed and altitude, while maintaing altitude (straight and level flight). Are you talking about the seat position in flight simulator or the pitch position of the aircraft in relation to the horizon?Just curious.Scott :-)ATP/CFII - KCOS, in the real aviation world.

I was talking about the pitch position of the aircraft in relation to the horizon. Was flying a 727-200 at FL330 and the aircraft was nose down during straight and level flight. Did not look right.. Now it's fixed...Thanks again John...RJ
