December 10, 201114 yr Dell has a new screen at 1920 x 1080 that looks attractive to me because of its smaller size at 21.5" and very small pixel pitch which should translate into a very sharp image all else being equal. What issues should one know about when deciding between LED backlit screens versus LCD w/ CCFL backlight? Thanks in advance!Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. December 11, 201114 yr OK, that's an LCD Monitor of the IPS - In-Plane Switching type, with LED backlighting. The 8 mSec response time seems a tad slow for today's monitor's, but should be fine for FSX.Cheers,- jahman.

December 11, 201114 yr Author I pulled the trigger last night on the Dell U2412M. I've wanted the 16:10 aspect ratio for other applications, and I found it for only $307. My wife really needs a new display (still using a huge old CRT which is very fuzzy!), but I will have a chance to see how it impacts FSX performance. If it's too much for my current rig she will be happy to use it, or if my rig can handle it, she will be happy w/ my 22" Dell which looks beautiful too. I'll let you know how it performs in this thread after it arrives.Cheers,Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.
