February 8, 200422 yr Hi friends, and thanks a lot for sharing your awesome work with simmers comunity.I downloaded and installed LIME 2004 UPDATE and scenery now looks great. I have an AFCAD problem though: all of my GA planes are assigned to the RAMP, so, obviously, they shouldn't be parked at the gates. But i could find some of them parked at the GATE; so i checked for LIME in AFCAD2 and found that there are two dstinct AFCAD: the first is AF2_LIME.bgl and the second (stock)is in sceneryEURWAP950150.Is there a way to delete LIME reference in AP950150?Maybe this is the problem? Thanks in advance for helpingLuigi ;-)
February 8, 200422 yr HIya.Have you opened the AF2_Lime.bgl file in afcad and checked to see whether the parking spots are right. Having just looked at the afcad file myself it seems there isnt any GA ramp spots at all so your GA planes are then using whatever is left over. There are a few RAMP Cargo slots in the afcad file so if you dont have much cargo traffic maybe you should rename them to Ramp ones or maybe make some GA Spots up as Im not familiar with the airport but the afcad file doesnt seem to have any parking spots for GA aircraft at all.Craig
February 8, 200422 yr Craig, give a look at below pics. Can you see what i mean? What should i do at this point?ThanksLuigi ;-)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/61770.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/61771.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/61773.jpg
February 8, 200422 yr Well you have a few choices.1. Wait until someone modifies the ISD afcad file and adds a few taxiways in the GA area which hasnt got anythign in it at the moment.2. Modify that afcad file yourself and add some taxiways and parking spots to the GA area.If you delete the ISD afcad file and go back to your Default one you will find that the aircraft might taxi in strange places.Have you looked online to see if anyone has done a modified version or there might be some Afcad genius here that might do one.Until then ..just hold on tight.Im not too hot on afcad myself so I cant help much. But am just helping you out by saying that the GA aircraft will be parking in the wrong spots until someone modifies the ISD afcad file.Craig
February 8, 200422 yr That's what i suspected! The strange is that the AFCAD2 in question comes directly from scenery creators :-(Let's hold together ;-)Luigi
February 8, 200422 yr Hi Luigi,To answer one question specicifically:> i checked for LIME in AFCAD2 and found that there are two dstinct > AFCAD: the first is AF2_LIME.bgl and the second (stock)is in > sceneryEURWAP950150.> Is there a way to delete LIME reference in AP950150?> Maybe this is the problem? This is normal. If there is an AFCAD file for an airport in the Addon Scenery folder, then it is used and it is captioned "Mod." If no such file exists for that airport, then the "Stock" (default) AFCAD is used.Having said that, it is easy to add parking spaces to that LIME AFCAD file. Make a copy of AF2_LIME.bgl and put it somewhere safe. Then read the fine documatation that Mr. Swordy has included with the AFCAD program and you will find instructions on how to modify AF2_LIME to your exact specications. I hope that this helps. R-
February 9, 200422 yr Author If your aircraft run out of RAMP spaces, they will start using GATE spaces. That maybe what's happening.Matt
