IS this a German ASVSIM Site ?? MR. Forum Manager, Plea...

Featured Replies

I am particularly referring to a thread on reality xp in which Mr Uwer and Mr Willy engage in a one to one conversation in German.Would appreciate if the Manager of this Forum asures us non german speaking mortals can learn from the exchanges of info , but in English PLEASE.Edmundo Cardenas v GriekenKPDK

What do you care what language they are writing in? It's not like they were talking about you behind your back. Perhaps one of them does not speak English very well, but still wants to tap into the wealth of knowledge available here.Besides, I think they might be speaking Dutch, and might take offense at you assuming it's German. ;)- Martin

Mr. Shaka: I can see that you are a very polite and civilized individual!!! I have never mentioned or insinuated anything having to do with ""It's not like they were talking about you behind your back "" as you imply.Sorry if I hurts your feelings . I think you did not get my point, so I will drop it and wish the Forum supervisor would clear this issue. Edmundo Cardenas v Grieken

I think you're right - I don't get your point. So why don't you enlighten me? I may not be completely knowledgable on all the forum rules, but I don't remember anything restricting the our choice of language here. Notwithstanding that fact, I still don't see why you feel that the forum manager/supervisor would need to clear this issue. I just don't see what the issue is. Since I have missed your point, perhaps you could tell me.- Martin

IMHO, you should just go grab a web page translater, and figure out what they were saying. In the time it spent you to write this thread, and reply, you or anyone else could have translated it. As someone who only speaks English, I feel it is ok for someone to speak whatever language they feel most comfortable with.Try This one:http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=enBTW - Did you ask them what they were saying. Maybe they will rewrite it for your own personal viewing.I would rather a non-english speaking user get his question answered rather than forcing that person to go out and learn English. But that is my nickel, so spend it wisely.Regards,Joehttp://aboutpolitics.net/images/bannerav.gif.About Politics.net - FORUMShttp://pub162.ezboard.com/baboutpolitics.Contribute to the Richard Harvey Scholarship Fund.http://www.avsim.com/pages/scholarship.shtml

Hey Gringo why dont you just learn german, translate it, or ignore it? Who are you to demand this is an "English Only" web site? I am pretty sure thats why its called the WORLD WIDE WEB (thats what the three www's mean in case you didnt know). Thus, expect a world wide audience some of whom dont speak (or prefer not to speak) english. Why does this bother you?Brew

I tend to agree, there are people that represent many different countries on this forum, there is no reason someone should "have" to speak English, unless they are trying to get their point across to someone that speaks only English.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VACougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviation[link:www.cgrmthelos.com]Cougar Mountain Helicopters

There is no restriction on what language users want to converse in. Take the advice and use a translator if you are interested. This thread is locked.
