December 13, 201114 yr Hi, I have downloaded a P51D MKiv MustangCan you give the exact file name (XXXXX.ZIP) of this aircraft ?
December 13, 201114 yr Good morning/evening people. I have downloaded a P51D MKiv Mustang from AVSIM Library. Unfortunately, it has no Control Panel. Repeated emails to AVSIM have gone unanswered. Anyone out there can assist, it would be greatly appreciated. Regards KOMay I ask what repeated e-mails to AVSIM? I have seen nothing about a P51D MKiv Mustang on our e-mail system. Also please be aware that we at AVSIM only host the files which you are accessing. We did not produce these files nor do we provide any type of support for them. We do try to help when we can but in the end we only provide official support for the AVSIM Library system itself. Therefore we recommend that you contact the author direct via the email address, which was supplied in the files read.me when you downloaded the file.As a matter of AVSIM hosting their files the authors have agreed to offer technical support to all that may need it. Hopefully you can see that with over 160000 different files in the library by many different authors there is no way we can provide effective support for all of them. The authors of the work are the best qualified to provide support for their creations.
December 13, 201114 yr Author Momtchi. I was not aware that Avsim forums and the library http://library.avsim.net/login.php?Location=%2F were even remotely connected. As far as I was aware a forum is just a group of people who help each other with thier expertise. As for the repeated emails, I am not talking about the last few weeks. I am going back almost two years of emails and have not had one reply.. I'll dig through my files and try to find the author.
December 13, 201114 yr Momtchi. I was not aware that Avsim forums and the library http://library.avsim...hp?Location=%2F were even remotely connected. As far as I was aware a forum is just a group of people who help each other with thier expertise. The AVSIM Forums and AVSIM Library are separate systems, but in the end its all part of the same AVSIM.If you want help from forum members, as 'navtech' has already suggested, you will need to provide the filename of the download, so that they know what you're talking about. There are a number of mustang files around and P51D MKiv Mustang doesn't ring any bells. As for the repeated emails, I am not talking about the last few weeks. I am going back almost two years of emails and have not had one reply..I've been at the AVSIM Library since 2008 and I have never seen a single e-mail about a P51D MKiv Mustang or from anyone with your e-mail address (just did a search in our e-mail archive since 2008 - finally, keeping all those e-mails saved has paid off ).And yes, we do answer all e-mails we receive (or at least try our best to) within a reasonable time period (usually within 24hrs) - all except the abusive ones. But who knows maybe your e-mail did slip through the cracks, it is possible - we're only human; and we're all volunteers at AVSIM providing this service for free.At any rate, good luck to you. If you downloaded the file from AVSIM it will have the author's contact details in there. Hope you manage to resolve your issue.
December 14, 201114 yr Author Well. Here is the aircraft and the control panel. I have read the text, but the instructions arent working
December 14, 201114 yr I can't find anything like this in the AVSIM Library.Like I said before - please give the file-name of the .zip you download so we can take a look. Those screen shots don't really help determine precisely what you are using.the only thing we have that comes close to what you're describing is this:p51dver2_203586.zipis this the file? Its actually a really good model and was very popular when released. If that's not the file you're using, then I suggest you give it a try, its worth it. Its Warwick Carter's P51D Mustang (widely known as 'Wozza's Mustang' that Pete's already mentioned)If that's the file you are using - The readme says:**********************************.................There is no 2D cockpit with this aircraft a suitable one is SIMphony_No2.zip at simaviation.com.there is a gauge called dsd_view_skip.gau by Doug Dawson which will bypass the 2d pit,If you wish to add your own 2d pit then open the panel.cfg file in notepad and comment out or delete the "gauge16=dsd_view_skip!no_2d, 0, 0 ,5,5" entry in the Vcockpit section**********************************If you want a 2D panel for this plane (I take it that's what you mean by control panel) try the suggested one and also follow the above instructions.
December 14, 201114 yr I think he's raised an interesting question. How does one go about designing a panel for such a 'plane ?
