Force to Sim Time and weather-influencend textures

Recommended Posts

When I want to fly 'in the past' and want to use the weather-influenced textures, what's the right startup order? Because the textures depend on actual weather (which depends on day and time) my guess is that I have to do it in the following order:

  1. Start AS2012 with option 'Force to Sim Time' checked
  2. Download the weather for that day and time
  3. Load the flight plan
  4. Let AS2012 install the weather-influcend textures
  5. Start FSX

Is that order correct?RegardsWolfgang

Hi,Yes, you are correct. Since FSX isn't connected yet and the time is not known you need to set the desired historical date/time for the wx-influenced calcs before installing wx-influenced textures. When using real-time weather you could skip #2.
