after starting decent ,tune nav recievers to freq 110.10 on both and activate, at this point the freq shows 110.10 on the main display and everthing is going fine, now set the the auto brake to the 2 setting and pan back up. 3 things , first the 110.10/184 on the display has changed to abv/184 or something like that and the plane will not autoland even though i followed the protocal of setting both fd and course 184 in both captain and first officer windows. I have to deactivate autopilot and land mannually.I must be overlooking something.

ABV sure is the ILS identifier. For autoland, you have both CMD active? Enviado desde mi GT-I9100 usando Tapatalk

Yep, That did it. I was trying to engage the autopilot B to soon. It seems you can't engage B until the last minute or so. Thank's Jose!

Curt !You can engage the second autopilot only when you are in APP mode and still above 800 feet.It is usually engaged sooner than that...........localizer and glideslope captured. (3,000 ft !!)It will announce Single Channel until 1500 ft and then change to Land 3.( provided you have the Collins MCP and Fail OP chosen in the CDU options )Fred.
