I'm reinstalling the fsx , Previously i had the game in the default folder and had a couple of minor issues but nothing serious. Since i'm doing a complete re-install of everything i wanted to know how to do an install into another folder other than the default folder. I have windows vista.

Microsoft game studios sent me something to run as i was attemping to do a system restore that allowed me to use the game disk to do an uninstall. I here that we should install the game in a place other than the default microsoft file, does anybody know where a good place to install it to. Im using windows vista, Thank's for all of your replys

Yep, I allready tried fsx.exe, the game files are there but there is no program to uninstall, and when i insert the disk it shows files on the disk but thats it, won't allow me to repair or install untill the program itself is removed.

what causes such a thing to happen? do i really have to uninstall windows and what is a registry fix please?

I recently wanted to uninstall fsx and do a reinstall but the game has disapeared from my list of programs so i'm not able to uninstall. this is very strange because i can still play the game just cant find it to uninstall very strange.

I recently viewed an FMC instuctional video on u-tube by wturbiasz and in that he uses flightaware free-ware but when i tried i could not pull up sids and stars the way he did in the video, Did flightaware change the abbility to do that? I understand that this video was made some years ago and if so is there another free-ware program that alot use.

Yep I entered the sids and the stars both, I've got a quirk in the system somewhere.

I must be overlooking something, I have power,I have dual fmc restored and I have the basic map display,I have alligned the IRS and i have copied the position and placed them in the empty boxes but still nothing on the map display except for the basic display itself. And yes I do have the departure and arriving airports entered in I wish I knew how to create a screen shot and post it for a visual ref.

Since ,I have had the tutorial #2 flights added to my saved flights It has slowed down my loading speed to a point where it takes forever to load, such as the INNSBRK approach, I know this is not a problem with the program or pmdg, Its a matter of proccesing speed, however I think my best chance for some help would be with you guys . Is there something I can do to speed up the the loading of the scenery other than deleting 90% of my saved flights ? I have a dual core e8400 w/ 8gbof ram, and no add on scenery, I'm not very good w/ computers,so if you try and explain it to me you'll have to go step by step, Thank's for any help. I don't have a lot of flights saved, only the #2 tutorial flights and one other is on there.

Yeah, I had saved that sp1b but for some reason I forgot to download it , but now i loaded it and seems to be doing ok , I'll keep my fingers crossed just in case, This game like's to throw me a curve once in awhile.............. 99% of the time it's me. Thank you.

Thank you Kindly fella's ! I need to double check that about sp1b , I may be confused but, I thought that they put a bulleten out that sp1b was causing trouble, Mayby It was the sp1

Never been able to use the CLD&DRK panel ? When I try the pilot side FMC states loading panel and freeze's up , The FO's side although works. the only way I can get the C&D is by shutting everything off and starting over, Could I have a corrupt file?

Thank's Darrel, thank's kenneth for the reply's ,but still wondering if pmdg got there issues worked out with at&t. Don't want to send in a ticket just to ask them that because I know how busy they are , They probably got more important things to do right now, anyway I'll find out sooner or later. Thank's guy's.

Recently I had to open an alternative mail account to get a support ticket to go through because of the problem with at&t, Any body know if they got that resolved yet, I want to delete my temporary mail account , Having a bad experience with hotmail and i want to stop using it. I signed up and from my hotmail account I sent a message to my at&t account just to make sure my new account was working ok and suddenly all my e-mail contacts that i have with my at&t account starting getting unwanted spam from me and I wasn't even sending anything. Maybe I'll go ahead and delete that mail account anyway.

Anytime you change that much stuff at one time you can only expect something is not going to work right, Anyway I wouldn't be upset with PMDG Its not there fault... I had trouble getting a ticket a couple of weeks ago because of some AT&T B.S I had to open a different mail account and as soon as i sent them a new email address the ticket went through instantly. Aparently I must have not been entering the coordinance in correctly , I know i tried at least twice but after going over the mannuall twice the only thing i could see that i may have done wrong was that i turned the irs switches to allign instead of to nav. Only thing I can see.Anyway I seem to have figured it out.

Also for future reference how can I post a snap shot of my cockpit config for any help that I may need? Thank's.
