I'm reinstalling the fsx , Previously i had the game in the default folder and had a couple of minor issues but nothing serious. Since i'm doing a complete re-install of everything i wanted to know how to do an install into another folder other than the default folder. I have windows vista.

When the installer prompts you to confirm the installation location, click Browse, and create a new C drive folder titled FSX. FSX and all future add-ons should then be installed in C:\FSX.

Follow this guide.

Simulator or not, it's a game. The game is what it is, simulator is the genre. It's a simulation game.

My wife can call it a game. No one on this forum should admit to doing the same.

No one would spend the kind of money I have on a game ...... well maybe taking your kids to hockey practice.

Its just a game now, but if i ever to decide to get rudder pedals !!!! Thank's for the info and the smiles. You guys have wonderful day, Oh, By the way i went to download the sp1 and sp2 files and got a error message rom the web site, not sure whats going on there but right now i'm going to see how my re-install went on my g...woops ,on my flight sim.

Probably too late now but if you had a second hard drive, anything 350 GB + you should put FSX on that and not on the same drive as the operating system.
