my flight simulater program is missing in my pc

I recently wanted to uninstall fsx and do a reinstall but the game has disapeared from my list of programs so i'm not able to uninstall. this is very strange because i can still play the game just cant find it to uninstall very strange.

what causes such a thing to happen? do i really have to uninstall windows and what is a registry fix please?

Put in your fsx dvd and it will ask you if you want to repair or uninstall.

It be there some where have you checked in the control panel add/remove options to see if it listed in there, if its not than some how you un installed it with out knowing you did it, since programs dont just disappear with out any reasons.

 

Or in your search box in your start button, type in fsx.exe and it will bring the location if its still on your pc

Yep, I allready tried fsx.exe, the game files are there but there is no program to uninstall, and when i insert the disk it shows files on the disk but thats it, won't allow me to repair or install untill the program itself is removed.

what about in the control panel in the add/ remove section is fsx listed in there?

Microsoft game studios sent me something to run as i was attemping to do a system restore that allowed me to use the game disk to do an uninstall. Hello Curt, have you installed Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Acceleration??. If so, deinstall it,and then you will find FSX again in the programs list

Install it outside the default program folder eg C:/ fsx etc or what ever you like to name it

Best place, if you have a second hard drive is to install it on that, not on the hd with the operating system.
