  1. It's just a pity about the rest of the program. :LMAO:
  2. I would like to know if the the Witchita Linesman is still on the line ?
  3. There's something fishy going on with that plane. Fred.
  4. Have some more coffee ! Fred.
  5. wow ! A supersonic passenger airplane. I can't wait to see one of those. Ooops, They have been and gone already. It was the result of the infamous England and France oneupmanship game, just like the transatlantic liners of the past. In the 30' it was The Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth VS the Normandy. In the 60's it was the QE2 VS The France. It looks like the aviation business has taken a major step backwards. Fred.
  6. All I can say guys, is if you honestly think Sim A and ProSim can be used for serious cockpit building, then it just shows that you know very very little about cockpit building. Those 2 programs are only toys in comparison to PM. Total amateur stuff. (they are both cheap and substandard clones of Project Magenta) Fred.
  7. As I have said, I have absolutely no idea how the JetMax package interfaces with the PMDG NGX.If you go the full MIP route you will need Project Magenta'a Boeing Suite running on a few networked PC's for the various modules. I normally use one PC for each of the pilots PFD/ND and one for the EICAS. (that's 3 so far) [ FDS use 2 19" monitors for captains and first officers displays and a 15" monitor for the EICAS and standby instruments. ] One PC for both CDU's and another for PMSystems. The MCP software can go on the same PC as FSX. That's 6 PC's in all. If you want to use their Instructor Station then you will need another PC. That said, I have seen a few homebuilt cockpits built from wood with absolutely stunning results. One such builder was on this forum a few weeks back. I just can't think of his name. His website shows exactly how he built it etc.. Fred.
  8. I have no experience with that particular package but I do use all FDS stuff in the fixed base trainers that I have built and they are excellent. There are other companies out there doing similar stuff but beware, they are nowhere as good as the FDS stuff. It is very well designed/manufactured and looks and feels like the real thing. I will give their stuff 10 out of 10. Fred.
  9. Thanks PMDG. Only getting around to the new SP now after a few months break. Te 737 NGX is a work of art. We are sooooo spoiled. Fred.
  10. That is because it is not one of the 53 "in game" aeros but a daily aerocache ! Thr thumbnail and preview for it will be in your aerocache folder which should amount to 340. This aero was originally available on May 17th. Fred.
  11. Thanks again Luis ! I knocked another 13 seconds off my time today. (cut down a few trees lol.) Fred.
  12. Good to have you onboard Richard. Best wishes. Fred.
  13. Hi Luis. Actually I have the Increased Stability turned on. (The box is checked) I find this works good with the mouse as the controller. Fred.
  14. Just made this one today. Similar to the one above but flying the RV-6 instead so a better time. Fred. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OtwjueyfGI&feature=plcp
  15. I managed to beat my personal best of 5600 today on this one. I got 5700 with 10 seconds to spare. Rv-6, full throttle and 5% fuel. Enjoy ! Fred. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ki-3awOYhKA&feature=plcp
  16. Thanks Luis. I am feeling "very challenged" this weekend. lol Fred.
  17. The system would not let me put all 3 videos in the same thread ! Hilo and Wind Farm are here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/383009-hawaii-gold-rush-videos-updated/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFt6GwCL7bc&feature=context-cha Fred.
  18. I made some videos about the 3 Hawaii gold rush challenges a few months ago but tonight I decided to make new ones with better strategies and time. I am using the Icon for all 3 with full throttle and 5% fuel. I am stalling the wing a lot to get tight turns and slow the plane down. I hope these are of some use to others. Enjoy.............Fred. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQslry7E04s&feature=context-cha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PaeIhzqbKA&feature=context-cha Ford Island is here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/383010-ford-island-gold-rush-updated/
  19. It looks like the NEW AOTD's are over. I have collected all 166 aeros but when a new "OLD" AOTD comes along, my count then goes back to 165 to prepare for the next new "OLD" AOTD. Anyone with a count of 165 has got them all. Fred.
  20. There is no wait ! LM will take your money just as quickly as MS did ! Download it, install it and away you go. Simple as that. (MS did not call to your door to see if FSX was being used for educational purposes and I promise you that LM won't be calling to see if you are using P3D for entertainment purposes.) Fred.
  21. What about the demise of FSX ? It's been dead almost 6 years. The only hope for the future of flight simulation is in the hands of Lockheed Martin. (......and please don't mention Xplane as an alternative !) Fred.
  22. So far there have been 170 Aerocaches in Flight. Only 166 of these were possible to get and increment your aero count. The 4 that are not doable are.......... 1. Curvature of the earth. (Hawaii Pack).....No suitable plane. 2. Maluaka Beach (March 29th.) It was bugged and was not to be had. 3. Elmendorf AFB (July 17th.) This one was doable but Did Not increment your aero count by 1 4. Cone Island (Aug 1st.) It too was bugged and could not be got. Fred.
  23. 8pm GMT........Molokai Triangle. A re-run of the 1st AOTD from May 11th. Can't remember if this was bugged or not ? The 2nd one that day was LAHILAHI POINT Fred.
