August 6, 201213 yr Hi Folks Don't recall either noticing this myself anyone commenting on it previously, or even if its possibly ever happened before. Just perusing the MicrosoftFlight Aerocaches webpage and not unexpectedly found today's AotD, Molokai Triangle, was yet another that I'd already earned. However thinking - No worries, that's one nearer to repeating my 6 missing AotDs. I'd previously noticed, but paid no attention to it, that Free To Play or Hawaiian AP AotD's also displayed as the first aerocache in their respective listings below. Tonight to my surprise I noticed the F2P listing was displaying the pic for Quonset Maze, (an AotD, but not one of the 13 F2P's). and one of those 6 AotD's which I'd previously missed. I'd already looked in-game tonight and the only available unclaimed aerocache listed was for Curvature of the Earth. As the aerocache isn't listed, (i.e. GUI selectable) there's no means of initialising the aerocache sensor. Thought bugger it, I know where this one is, (by PC date adjustment you can see, earn XP, but not claim, some aerocaches), so went off hunting without the aerocache sensor. Flew there. Flew through it. Toasted as expected. Difference was - - It didn't respawn. - This time it stuck ! Woot another ticked off. Bottom Line - Any AotD collectors missing a few, it might be worth daily checking the first of each listed collection, as they're possibly active. N.B. - Loki et al @ MS Please reinstate the website's recently removed Alaska Wilderness Pack lister, (even though it currently will only show 1 daily). HTH ATB Paul ODG Preview
August 7, 201213 yr And... Quonset Maze is the aerocache of the day for August 7. :) Too bad, I'd already flown out and gotten it before it came up as official. I didn't keep track of my aerocache count, so I hope it added to it. I've got 165 in game right now, with 166 showing on the web site. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

August 7, 201213 yr Quonset Maze - 5000 points REALLY. It's got to be one of the easiest ACs of the lot. Why is it worth 5000 points? Blackrat
August 7, 201213 yr Quonset Maze - 5000 points REALLY. Just GOT IT!!!!! I've summed up **only** 106 total... Nothing compared to your figures :-/ Yesterday I ruined my FLIGHT install when playing with some of the pak files, but discovered very interesting items inside of it. In some way it helped understanding why we have that sensation of a better FD in FLIGHT - because it has a better FD!!!!. At the same time, looking at all of the many weather/traffic/etc... settings available and never used until now, I really feel even more sad for the fate FLIGHT apparently had... I still hope for the 25th of July :-/ FLIGHT... What else ? Really.... August 7, 201213 yr So far there have been 170 Aerocaches in Flight. Only 166 of these were possible to get and increment your aero count. The 4 that are not doable are.......... 1. Curvature of the earth. (Hawaii Pack).....No suitable plane. 2. Maluaka Beach (March 29th.) It was bugged and was not to be had. 3. Elmendorf AFB (July 17th.) This one was doable but Did Not increment your aero count by 1 4. Cone Island (Aug 1st.) It too was bugged and could not be got. Fred. Frederic Steiner.
August 10, 201213 yr It looks like the NEW AOTD's are over. I have collected all 166 aeros but when a new "OLD" AOTD comes along, my count then goes back to 165 to prepare for the next new "OLD" AOTD. Anyone with a count of 165 has got them all. Fred. Frederic Steiner.
August 10, 201213 yr Author Hi Folks I have collected all 166 aerosbut when a new "OLD" AOTD comes along, my count then goes back to 165 to prepare for the next new "OLD" AOTD. Fred - Sorry I'd mean't to follow up on, and correct, my original post, but had also been hoping for a further new aerocache to confirm the following observation. Flew there.Flew through it. Toasted as expected. Difference was - - It didn't respawn. - This time it stuck ! Woot another ticked off. Unfortunately, when I launched FLIGHT early the following day it had decremented my earned-count by one. However, all was not lost, as on relaunching FLIGHT later on that day AFTER that evening's new aerocache became active, my count had again been incremented by one, (to the correct value). And it did so before I'd even looked at the new aerocache's availability, As I'd already earned that aerocache months ago, the re-increment could only have been as a result of earning Quonset Maze, (one I'd missed previously). I think, but I'll have to re-check, that my count has stayed unchanged at the correct level ever since. i.e. The count apparently only decrements back by one, if you relaunch FLIGHT whilst that same aerocache is still active. That decrement/increment behaviour looks like it might be the result of a dirty-workaround for the previously reported off-by-one bug. EDIT - Just fired up FLIGHT and rechecked, and its all changed from earlier today. The POSSIBLECOUNT now looks like its been reset down to 167 from 170, (there had been 3 unobtainables). My EARNEDCOUNT has also been decremented from 163 back to 160. As it may be a work-in-progress I'll wait till tomorrow to see if my EARNEDCOUNT is corrected. re: New Aerocaches Loki's posted on the blog that they've run out of new aerocaches for the moment, and are re-releasing old, beta, and working versions for those previously bugged unobtainable. They've also got around 40-ish new ones still on the production line. HTH ATB Paul ODG Preview
