ASE and new 2012

Do you need to uninstall ASE (that I current have) and then install AS2012 or is AS2012 automatically install over old ASE replacing the old version

They install to different locations, its doesn't matter whether you remove ASE first or not, the only important thing is that you have the product key (if AS2012 can't find it during installation/activation) for your existing ASE licence so that you may install and activate the upgrade version of AS2012.
