porting over a payware file from fs9

Featured Replies

I moved a payware plane from fs9. When I select it I get an error message regarding "direct sound 2000". Then it aborts the load process. Looks like fsx is not happy with the sound files. I am looking for a fix or work-around. Any ideas?

If you tell what plane in particular we can maybe help you. :(

Best regards, Steffen

Perhaps this link regarding DirectSound 2000 will help - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DirectSound. You may need to update DirectX.Best regards,Jim

Thanks for the quick responses. Among other things I just got a new computer. I seem to barking up a wrong tree. The problem is with fs2002sounddramfleetxx. In my old machine It all works ok. I copied over the entire file from it to my new computer. When I run fs9 Iget that error message but then if I click thru the error messages the plane loads ok and I can carry on. If I move it to FSX then I get the error message and it aborts the load process. Maybe the new computer doesn't like what I am doing. So I guess I am in a fog right niow. I will keep trying. I'm still open to some more suggestions. Thanks.
