multiplayer and matrox

Featured Replies

does anyone has experience with matrox tripple head to go.

I have 3 screens 24 inch for full screen fsx

I have nice framerates and they are locked inside fsx on 31

each condition I have the full 31 fps.

as soon as I connect to multiplayer my fps drop to half

but in windows mode it keeps the 31 fps.

also when I connect to vatsim with lots of players and aircrafts or ivao it stays 31.

only exception is multiplayer even there with one host.

any idea?

Greetings,Yes, this has happen to me but it was not due to the Matrox TripleHead2Go. It was due to starting in the air when I joined a multiplayer session. It seems that some form of initialization does not complete in FSX When this happens you have to exit the sim. Going to free flight without exiting the sim would still exhibit the problem. At DigitalThemePark we did some testing to find out why we started in the air. Some thought it was due to picking an already taken parking space. This was not the case. We discovered that it all had to do the the default saved flight from free flight. If you had previously saved a larger aircraft than the space you tried to go into, you end up in the air. You have to save your default flight with something small like the default Cessna 172. Since then we have never started in the air again.Note: You have to have the default flight with the small plane. Selecting a small plane after connecting still had the starting in air issue, and thus frame rate chopped in half.

what I have is a cessna c337 as default and is settled in free flight.next step is multiplayer/gamespy and get in.look for an availeble game and connect.there I can pickup a certain aircraft in my case B17 from A2A.I choose my airport and run.I end up on the runway or parking and not in the air.Is here a contradiction in what you have find out?

You got the right procedure. Spot on. Still gives you the half frames? Never happens in Free Flight I bet. If you want to debug today, jump on TeamSpeak. I am curious to see what other conditions are causing this. It frustrated me until I found my solution.
