December 21, 201114 yr Hi fellow simmers, I purchased the download for the CT210 FSX yesterday. Downloaded it to my J drive,FSX installed here, extracted the ZIP file and tried to install it. It kept going to the install wizard and I would run it and it would finish. I would try to start the program, but nothing happens. I would go back to FSX file and start wizard again and it would seem to load and finish. It indicates a lot of the file were skipped. I tried this process numerous times with no success. Any help would be appreciated.George Clark George Clark Former Private Pilot C172 My System Specs:Alienware Area 51 (6/1/2011), 0J560M A03, Intel i7 970 SIX CORE CPU 3.23ghz, 12GB RAM(3-4GB, 64 BIT TRIBLE CHANNEL DDR3 PC1333 MHZ), MS WINDOWS7 HOME PREM 64 BIT, NVIDIA GXT460 DUAL w/1024MB Memory, FSX.
December 21, 201114 yr Sounds like you might need to start over completely.Reboot.UnzipRun the exe for install. Make sure if using win7 you are admin and have all the virus stuff off.Check that the installer can find your FSX folder. (path)It takes about one minute after you type in your name and serial number.Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
December 22, 201114 yr Author Hi Ray, thanks for the response, I uninstalled everything and got a new download. I turned off all my firewalls, virus, etc. and ran the download. Placed it in my J drive, FS Games\ FSX. I extracted the zip and ran the exe file. This seemed to load, but had many skipped files. Per the instructions I ran this several times. I have tried to access the plane to fly but get nowhere. It seems to not know where to go to find the file. Don't know what else to do. I have loaded many other aircraft and never had this problem setting up the program. I know I must be doing something not just right, but don't know what. Please help!!!George Clark George Clark Former Private Pilot C172 My System Specs:Alienware Area 51 (6/1/2011), 0J560M A03, Intel i7 970 SIX CORE CPU 3.23ghz, 12GB RAM(3-4GB, 64 BIT TRIBLE CHANNEL DDR3 PC1333 MHZ), MS WINDOWS7 HOME PREM 64 BIT, NVIDIA GXT460 DUAL w/1024MB Memory, FSX.

Please help!!!George ClarkIt sounds like you may not have used the 'browse' to set the path to your J:\ FS Games \FSX very early on in the install process. You can use the windows search feature to see if the files are in the wrong place. Here is the full load, I think this is a pure, unchanged load. Pick one of those unique file names and search for it.I guess you could make a dummy folder that looks close to standard and let the installer put the files there. Confirm you have them all from the list and move them to the proper place on your J drive.I do this sometimes when I don't know who built the installer so I can see if they what what they are doing. If I like it, I move the files and delete the temporary folder.Do you already have a Carenado folder for other add ons in you FSX folder? If so, if you go this route you will need to put the pdf files in that folder and the airplane files in the \Simobjects\Airplanes folder.Good Luck. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
December 22, 201114 yr Author Hi Ray, I must have had a brain freeze. I am so sorry, I was trying to set up a desktop icon to launch the CT210M, instead of going to the MSFSX icon to launch. I don't know where my mind was. I used the right thing and got into FSX and the CT210M and flew it. What a waste of your time.Thank you for your effortGeorge Clark George Clark Former Private Pilot C172 My System Specs:Alienware Area 51 (6/1/2011), 0J560M A03, Intel i7 970 SIX CORE CPU 3.23ghz, 12GB RAM(3-4GB, 64 BIT TRIBLE CHANNEL DDR3 PC1333 MHZ), MS WINDOWS7 HOME PREM 64 BIT, NVIDIA GXT460 DUAL w/1024MB Memory, FSX.
