December 23, 201114 yr Dear community,Yesterday, I bought PMDG's 737 NGX. It works very well, but there is still a problem: Every minute or every 2 minutes (I'm not sure) the whole simulator freezes for a few seconds, then it coninues running, after 1 or 2 minutes it freezes again and so on. The problem just occurs during taxiing (on the ground) or during the approach. I think the simulator freezes more often, when I do something in the cockpit of the 737 which is quite complex like starting the wipers. SP1b is installed. Does anyone have an idea to fix this problem?Sorry for my poor English and sorry when there is already a solution for the problem in the forum which I have not seen.My system:Intel Core i7-2600K @ 4.5 GHzAsus P8P67 PRO Rev. 2Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce GTX 5708 GB DDR-3 Corsair Vengeance RAMThanks for reading and the answers!
December 23, 201114 yr Don´t know nothing about which HD you have. But I know that Corsairs SSD could make freezes, before they updated the firmware.I had freezing (before I got the NGX) because of that, but d/l the new Firmware and it was solved for good.Submit a Ticket to PMDG and give them your full computer spec. (go to their site)would be quicker, than letting us guessing./ Leffe Leif A Mikkelsen **********************

December 23, 201114 yr Do you have FSUIPC autosave turn on at the default save of every 60 seconds? Either turn it off or set it to save every 15 to 30 min or something like that. The NGX is very complex and it takes a couple seconds for all the data to save. With other planes its almost instaneous. Im willing to bet that is your issue.BTW First and Last Names are required at the bottom of your posts per forum rules. Paul Deemer
December 23, 201114 yr Author I don't have the registered version of FSUIPC, but I use the free version. Thanks for the tipp, I will look for the setting.
December 23, 201114 yr Well if you dont have the registered version of FSUIPC then it probably is not using autosave.Make surey you are using the latest version of FSUIPC even if its unregistered and also the latest version of the NGX is Service Pack 1b Paul Deemer
December 23, 201114 yr Author I think I solved the problem: In the energy options of Windows 7 is a setting which makes the hard disk turn off after a defined time. This time was set on 1 minute, I'm not sure why. So I set this setting to a higher number and there aren't any problems so far. Thanks for the help anyway and again sorry for my poor English.
