Why not IE? Alright, I got no real proof but: I see many broken laptops and PCs in my life, since I'm also selling them and I generally see problems on computers where people use IE + various IE addons like some bars.I tend to recommend people not to use IE and use Firefox with a popup and ad blocker instead and those generally never come back with a problem.My mother too who is a total non-techie is on Firefox and never has a problem.Call it more of a hunch than anything else.But if you like your IE or IE in general, so be it.

Do some web developing and you'll learn to hate IE and how Microsoft outright ignores standards intentionally as a motto.At user level IE is (was?) well known for it's security issues. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole
