HELP! I lost my FS9 Basic 747-400 files!

Recommended Posts

I can screw up an anvil with a rubber mallet!I lost my basic 747-400 aircraft file that came with FS9.1. Is there a place where I can download it or do I reinstall FS9?2. If I reinstall FS9, does that overwrite everything and I loose all of my addons?THANKS IN ADVANCE!

How did you manage that? To be honest, if you're using addons, then probably you never use the default aircraft at all. So, unless it's causing other problems, why worry about it? I don't think there is anywhere you can download it from, why would there be when it's on your original FS9 discs? If you want it, I think you may well have to reinstall FS9 and then reinstall your addons. A bit of a pain, but no big deal really. Unless you haven't backed up everything you've purchased - but then you have done that, haven't you? Possibly I'm completely wrong and there is some easy way out of this; there are many people here vastly more knowledgeable than me, I'm sure they will be able to help you out if a reinstall isn't necessary.Hope it all works out for you.

I delete my default aircraft, except for the DC3, Cub, Trimotor and Cessnas. I dont fly the other ones or use them for AI. It's a personal choice obviously, and shouldnt be done unless you are comfortable with setting up addon planes to work around any dependencies on the defaults.
