December 29, 201114 yr Hy all,I have search either on google and on this forum, but I won't be able to find a clear answer on how to insatll correctly WOAi packages and keeping the default road and boat traffics.I read on several pages that WOAi installation disabled theses ground traffics. When does it happens? How to prevent this? Thanks for the help and to make it clear!Happy landingsSylvain
December 29, 201114 yr I have WoAI packeges, at least most of them, and haven´t seen any affect on default traffic. That´s just a rumour?
December 29, 201114 yr Hi,Many older WOAI plans are still in FS9 format which disables all FSX plans. It is not a rumor. After installing, you use a FSX plan converter utility to convert all plans to FSX format and then they will all show up in FSX.
December 29, 201114 yr Author Guys, thanks for your reply.Jim, could you tell me more on the steps to respect and on a converter?Maybe a tuto is available? Thanks for help.Sylvain
December 29, 201114 yr Hi,The steps don't change.I use bglfsxconvert but I could not find a download link. There are other utilities that people use. All you do is highlight the files and the converter does the work.
December 29, 201114 yr Author But do you proceed to the conversion before or after installation of the packages?Sylvain
January 6, 201214 yr Author Hy,How to proceed with more than 500 packages? Do I realy have to deal with packages one by one? Moreover, do you already have the file of bglfsxconvert? I wasn't able too to find a link and all the other programms I found seems to be more difficult than the method you gave me.Thanks for help.Sylvain
January 6, 201214 yr Hi,Yes, one pack at a time. No, they will never be packaged.Yes, I couldn't find a download link and I still have the needed files. Shoot me a PM with an e-mail that I can attach files back to you.
January 7, 201214 yr You don't need to convert the packages one at a time.Download a utility called "AIFPC" (sorry, don't have a link for you), and that will allow you to batch covert the packages in one shot. January 9, 201214 yr Author Thanks for help all.Jim I send a PM.I aslo saw the method with AIFPC, but when I have to import the file in FSX, the method indicate to create a zip file with planes and .bgl and to send it via JABx. I will try to create 1 zipfile wiht all the aircraft files created by WOAI, and the BGL modified by AIFPC.FSX is nicer, but it was easier with FS9...Happy landingsSylvain Vaudescal
January 9, 201214 yr I used AIFP2 ( http://stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?Folder=AIFP ) and ran their "Convert FS9 Traffic Files to FSX" utility. As instructed, I selected all of my WOAI .bgl files in the sceneryworldscenery directory and checked the box "Add "_FSX" suffix to FSX traffic files" (this way, you can clearly see the converted files and then delete or move the original files).Hope this helps.
