December 29, 201114 yr I was executing the PMDG 737-800 tutorial (by the book). Unfortunately I can NOT engage the AP after take off. I do fly through 400feet AGL, push the CMD "A" button but nothing happens. What do I do wrong. Thanks for the help.BestPeter
December 29, 201114 yr Make sure you're not still moving your yoke/joystick or the autopilot will disconnect and you'll enter CWS mode. Alfredo Terrero
December 30, 201114 yr Make sure you're not still moving your yoke/joystick or the autopilot will disconnect and you'll enter CWS mode...and the reason for why is because you have the "autopilot realistic engagement" turned ON. As long as the aircraft isnt trimmed correctly and, as mentioned above, youre putting pressure on flight controls, AP will not engage. This is how it behave in real life. U can either turn this of on the FMC options menu, or try to trim aircraft according to CG input in take-off page on FMC. Yngve GiljebrekkeENZV NSB
