February 15, 200422 yr Has anyone managed to marry the new iFDG A320s with the PSS A320 panel ...?Just wondering.RegardsT
February 15, 200422 yr I just did a flight with the IFDG A320 using the PSS panel as the panel alias and PSS air file. I wasn't to happy with the climb performance but other than that flew as I expected. I may try it again later after playing around a bit with the two aircraft.cfg files. Will
February 15, 200422 yr Well - I have not tried the PSS air file but AS IS ... I tried a manual circuit and went twice in a stall for no reason at all. As you said, it doesn't want to climb. I then replaced the aircraft.cfg file and replaced everything accept CONTACT POINTS with the PSS cfg file but that resulted in even more chaos with the MCDU.Please let me know if you figured it out.RegardsT
February 15, 200422 yr This is just a shot in the dark, but try deleting the wingfold lines from the aircraft.cfg. They don't serve aby purpose. Wish I could help you out a little more, but I don't have the PSS packages.
February 16, 200422 yr Ok, the result of a 1.9 hour flight with the IFDG A320 and PSS panel. I used the PSS air file, aliased the panel and combined the different parts of the two aircraft.cfg files to make a new one. Take off, climb, cruise, decent and landing all went very well. Unlike my last attempt this time it climbed to 35000 feet never lost speed and did not get below 1100 feet per minute during the climb. Maintained mach .78 during cruise even with winds that varied between 54 knots tailwind to 70 knot headwind. Landed right on the money with a 12 knot wind from 30 degrees to my right. I'm happy with it. Now I have the PSS panel with the looks of the IFDG A320.WilliamI also discovered earilier this morning that the new SGA A300 works perfectly with the SSW panel by just aliasing to the SSW panel. What a good Airbus day it has been. :-)
February 17, 200422 yr Will Hi,Is it possible to share with us those changes in the aircraft.cfg?Vassilis:-wave
February 17, 200422 yr Hey Will,Can I echo Vassilis and also ask if you would be willing to post the cfg file for us? Would be much appreciated....:-beerchug Ian EGPF :-wave
February 17, 200422 yr Vassilis and Ian, I.m currently testing the IAE engine variation now and am having some problems with it. The CFM engine variation worked fine but the IAE version is having some take off problems. I'm no FDE expert by any means but when I get everything working I'll share it here. Will
February 17, 200422 yr Guys, I aliased the PSS A330 panel for FS9 with the IFDG A320.It's flyable, but I am having a problem with flaps and alpha floor in the red. Alpha floor constantly kicks in the auto throttle to TOGA on approaches.Any ideas how to adjust alpha floor in the aircraft config file? Are you aliasing the PSS A320 panel from FS2002 into FS?Hope I can get it to work, the combination of these two is awesome! Thanks,Astro
February 17, 200422 yr Thank you Albaro ,That's exactly how I had done it. I just finished my test flight (Atlanta to Richmond) with the IAE engine variation and was happy with the results. I made two model folders so that I could have all the paints in one aircraft folder. model and model.iae so for paints that use the IAE engines the aircraft config has model=iae. and two sound folders. one for the CFM engines and one for the IAE engines. sound and sound.iae Of course the aircraft config entry for the IAE is sound=iaeI figured that someone from IFDG would jump in here to assist sooner or later. :-) Thanks again. The IFDG is a beautiful model.I've attached a pic of the folder set up to make it a little clearer. Will
February 18, 200422 yr The PSS A320 panel will not work in FS9.I am using the PSS A330 panel in FS9 and still having problems with the alpha floor and autothrottle / TOGA engaging constantly.Anyone have any ideas how to get around this in the aircraft config file? Thanks,Astro
February 18, 200422 yr I've not had any problem at all using the PSS panel in FS9. If your trying to use the A330 panel with the IFDG A320 then I'm not suprised your having problems with it. Good luck with that Astro. Will
