How to change a/c cfg

Featured Replies

Hi, I am trying to adjust the pilots seat height in the a/c cfg file, when I change the views value and save it, it reverts back to original when I go out of the screen. I am using notepad to make the changes. What am I missing? ThanksTerry

Are you using TrackIR?Cheers,- jahman.

No, dont know what that is. I open the a/c cfg in notepad, make the change, save, a screen opens asking where to save, after hitting enter, it says there is already a cfg for this aircraft, do you want to replace it if I click yes it says not allowed.??Terry

You installed FS into the Program Files folder which does not allow changes to files to take place.Re-install outside of this folder.

He can still edit the files... he only needs to turn user account control to off. I ran with FSX installed in PF(x86) for a long time without issue.UAC:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Turn-User-Account-Control-on-or-off
