January 4, 201214 yr Both REX and AS2012 have great textures. So, which do I use, especially cloud textures?I guess current FSX textures are from the program I last loaded?Guidance appreciated. Thanks, Edited January 4, 201214 yr by Zachiii Digital Storm, Win 7 64-bit, Intel i5 4690k (OC 4.5 GHz), ASRock Z97, FSX Gold, two Dell monitors, 1x Samsung 500GB DDR, PC 8GB DDR3 (1866), RC4, DX10 Fixer,nVidia Inspector tuned by FSX DX10 "How To" Guide, nVidia GeForce GTX 970 (4GB),Opus, GEX, UTX, UT2, REX (4, Soft, Airports) FS Global 2008, PMDG JS41 & 737NGX, 750W Corsair
January 5, 201214 yr I use water from REX (much better IMO), but clouds and ground textures from AS2012. AS clouds looks much more better when flying through them, but REXs are much dramatic (I use them when METAR says they are high and I do have a helo or other low flyer). You can tick/untick options in both tools to install or not specific group. In my case REX will have the water-related options marked, while AS12 everything besides water. Now everytime I install different set in REX, only water will change. I think it is clear enough.PS Both clouds have exactly the same performance here. Bartłomiej Ender
