January 6, 201214 yr jim / teamin both ASE & AS2012, there are 2 txt files in the "AppData ... Weather" folder, namely "current wx snapshot" and a "current synthesised wx", both of which as best i judge can be read by Topcat.my guess is that the latter is more appropriate to use as it is what AS is injecting / depicting into FS.your advice please. for now, cheers john martin
January 6, 201214 yr i don't know for sure what the difference is, but in FsBuild you assign the current wx snapshot file for fuel planning, i'd guess topcat probably wants similar data?edit: on a further look it seems like the synthesized one is a subset of the stations... but maybe they are more relevant like it's generated from if you process a flight plan in AS? hmm cheers-andy crosby Edited January 6, 201214 yr by spesimen
January 7, 201214 yr Author jimcan you give us a short note about the / any differences between the 2 files (ie how they are generated / used).i continue to use the "current synthesised wx.txt" file and there seems more "integrity" in the atis / depictions i see.thanks Edited January 7, 201214 yr by vadriver for now, cheers john martin
